Your Hosts Scenic Valley Ranch is the home to the Christman family. Charles Christman, the Grandpa, has resided on the ranch since its beginning in 1973. His daughter Carla and her two daughters, Natasha and Chelsea moved to the ranch in 1997. It was Carla’s interest in combining her love for horses and the country living with her passion for therapeutic riding. Having worked in the field of family support and counseling for 15 years, she decided to create on her ranch the opportunity for both recreation and therapeutic riding. Her degree is in Sociology and Psychology, with numerous accredited programs under her belt that include addictions counseling, motivational interviewing, psychiatric rehabilitation and many more. Her focus is on supporting children and adults and their families affected by mental illness. Charles has been a rancher all of his life and he loves country living. Natasha, who is 17, is a skilled writer and can help you create your own tall tale or yarn. She is also an artist and many of the paintings and screen art that adorn the walls of the Guest House are hers. Allow her to draw you a picture that you can adorn on your walls as a memento of your trip. Natasha is also a rider and is a member of horse 4H. Chelsea, 12, is the skilled rider in the family. She is in horse 4H and enjoys showing her horses. She likes to work with the young stock and you can most often find her haltering her youngens and working with them. She is also skilled at working with beginner riders and giving them some of the basic skills. She has completed Rider One. Join us for a fun filled experience. The Christmans Our History... Scenic Valley Guest Ranch has been operating since 1973 as a beef cattle ranch. The Ranch is owned by Charles Christman and his daughter Carla Christman. We raise Paints and Quarter Horses and we offer 15 well broke riding horses for your recreational or therapeutic program. Many of our horses are versatile in both western and english riding and both styles of riding are offered. We offer a one hour trail ride or a full day trail. There is many different trails through our wilderness paths. Enjoy the breath taking views, wildlife and experience nature. After along and enjoyable day, spend the evening on the patio or around a campfire creating memories. Relax in the steamy Hot Tub enjoying the breathtaking view of Scenic Valley Ranch and the Okanagan Valley. Wake up to a hearty and healthy country breakfast.
